1. Texican Mac-N-Cheese

I asked my son what he wanted for dinner tonight because I just couldn't decide myself. He asked, "Do we have any macaroni and cheese?" Unfortunately we did not, but I knew I had all the ingredients to whip up my own. I wasn't in the mood for anything average, so I decided to spice things up a bit.

2. Fusilli Col Bucco!

The corkscrew shape of the pasta caught my eye. It reminded me of my curly hair and I thought it looked like a fun noodle to try... and it was!

The noodle is almost solid; it has a tiny little hole through it. In fact, I didn't realize that it wasn't solid until I happened to suck some air through a small piece that tried to escape my mouth. Fusilli Col Bucco is thick, thicker than spaghetti. Cooked, I'd say it's about 3 or 4 uncooked spaghetti noodles in thickness. The density of the pasta means you can go with a smaller pile on your plate and still be fully satisfied.

3. WholeFoods - Sushi on the Go

When we're in a hurry and we're at or near WholeFoods, I like to pick up a to-go container of sushi.

4. WholeFoods - Top "Siloin" Center Steak

Ever since we watched Food Inc., we've been buying our meat at WholeFoods. One particular cut we buy a lot is the Top Sirloin Center Steak for only $4.99 a piece.

5. Dinner on the go at WholeFoods

There's only been a few occasions where we grabbed a meal from the buffet at WholeFoods. After tonight's meal, I have the feeling that might change.
