Sushi Zushi with my Parents for Dinner

June 11, 2010

Once I had dinner at Zushi Sushi, I knew that I would have to bring my parents. I just didn't realize it would be this soon. My mom and I were out shopping for her dress for the wedding and Dan went to Men's Wearhouse with my dad to get fitted for his tuxedo. We met up for dinner at Zushi Sushi at The Domain.

Godzilla Roll

Dad had the Godzilla Roll, of which I ended up eating 3 pieces! As described on their menu: Fried crawfish, cream cheese, serrano chiles, chives wrapped in avocado and topped with sriracha sauce (Spicy)

Zushi Sushi - Godzilla Rolla and Valentine Roll

The Godzilla Roll (top) was definitely spicy. Dan didn't even try it! The Valentine's Roll (bottom) was not spicy at all so Dan enjoyed it. The Valentine's Roll as described on the menu: Avocado and soft shell crab, rolled uramaki style, and wrapped with tuna and salmon

Valentine's Roll and LIR Roll

The two left most pieces are the Valentine's Roll. The pieces on the right are the LIR Roll, which we had at dinner two nights ago. We wanted to be sure my dad tried that one since it was spicy and we knew it was good from our previous visit.

LIR Roll and Strawberry Roll

LIR Roll (top): Spicy tuna and avocado on the inside, fresh salmon on the outside drizzled with a sweet and spicy sauce

The Strawberry Roll (bottom) isn't on their online menu and I can't recall exactly what's in it but going from my memory: Soft shell crab on the inside, tuna and strawberry on the outside, with some sauce I can't recall and kiwi sauce

I didn't take a closeup of the Strawberry Roll or I'd look at that to see the ingredients. Oops! That'll teach me...

Mom ordered chicken yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and vegetable tempura but I did not take pictures of her food. I was a bit distracted by the sushi.

We finished off dinner with some mochi ice cream that we shared. (Sorry, no pictures of that either.) 3 pieces come in one order, so we got 2 orders for the 4 of us which allowed us each to have 1 1/2 pieces. Mochi is always a nice way to end a sushi dinner.

Sushi Zushi

Tonight Dan & I decided to give Sushi Zushi over at The Domain a try. We didn't know what to expect at all. We just figured that if it is at The Domain it is probably good. It turns out that's a rather safe assumption...
